Welcome to Massage on Huron

We are a Massage Clinic where men and women may choose from a variety of holistic styles of body massage therapy. We are located in Huron Street, Takapuna, North Shore, Auckland. We share reception area with Altering Images Beauty Therapy Clinic.

Massage styles for you to choose from are:

  • Swedish Massage
  • Sports Rehab Therapy
  • Remedial Massage
  • Aromatherapy
  • Reflexology

Read our about us page for more information about the therapists and their massage specialities. This page has a map so you can find our location.

Whether its sporting injuries or ailments; keeping aches and pains at bay; slimming, toning, maintaining shape; uplifting or de-stressing you want, we have a team of swedish, remedial, holistic or sports therapists who are available to pamper or restore you right now.

How to choose a style of massage?
In the first instance look at Massage styles page as we have some unique styles on offer, deep or light; and different therapist carry them out. Each therapist has their own days of availability, and you will need to contact them directly to make an appointment.

What happens and what to expect from your massage?
On arrival you will fill in a confidential form to advise us of your health issues and problem areas, (if any), then we will discuss and design the massage, depending on the style you have chosen. The massage can be either gentle or firm, relaxing or invigorating.
For a full body massage you usually undress, or keep your underwear on. We cover you with a drape, you will be warm, covered top to toe, and your privacy will always be assured.

How deep is the pressure of the Massage?
Sports massage uses slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, to reach deeper layers of muscle.
It is important to tell the massage therapist when things hurt and if any soreness or pain you experience is outside your comfort range. There is usually some stiffness or pain after a deep tissue massage, but it should subside within a day or so.

For those who are not looking for such a deep tissue massage, we also offer other soft tissue or combination massages - and these techniques can still deeply relax you, soothe and alleviate aches and pains, flush out toxins or reduce cellulite. With the Remedial Massages we use a combination of deep tissue and soft tissue techniques, muscle testing and passive stretching. We use forearm, fists, and elbows and hands to apply pressure. And for Swedish Massage, the pressure is generally lighter and smoother, applied mainly with hands and fingers. Read more info about the different massages.

* If you have a cold or flu you must not have a massage, as treatment only amplifies the infection.

New! BLISS OUT Meditation Massage: We now have the ultimate de-stress massage to soothe an overworked body and mind. The Bliss Out massage is a very slow gentle combination style massage, using essential oils for de-stress. Essential oils will also be set to fill the room with aroma to breathe in. Warning: This massage is so profoundly relaxing that there is a danger you might fall asleep after this! Don't plan any parties straight after.

Massage is used to treat a wide range of disorders, such as:

1. Insomnia 2. Muscular tension 3. Headaches and migraines 4. Work related stress 5. Repetitive strain injury 6. Depression 7. Arthritis 8. Eating disorders and digestive dysfunction 9. Pre-natal pregnancy conditions 10. Fibrositis 11. Spondylitis 12. Frozen shoulder 13. Whiplash 14. Sports and dancing injuries 15. Parkinsons Disease 16. Sluggish circulation.
